My Story

Four brave and inspirational women living in Galway are taking on a challenging marathon swim from An Spideál in Co Galway to Inis Mór on Friday 8th of September.

Breast Cancer continues to touch of the lives of communities across the country and no more so than amongst this amazing group of women. It has knocked on their door and on the doors of their friends and family.

Whilst Bernagh, Mary, Oonagh and Majella are keen open water swimmers and enjoy the atlantic waters year round this is a bigger challenge.  Tides, wind and conditions out in Galway Bay can throw curve balls but they are confident that their boat pilot David Oliver will keep them on course and fellow club members and swimmers Bridget Wing and Annette Cullen will be on hand to keep them safe and well throughout.

Thanking you in advance for you kind donation.
