My Story

I am taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon for the Irish National Breast Cancer Research Institute to help raise vital funds for their comprehensive research programme at the University of Galway. My own mom was daignosed with HER 2 positive Breast cancer in 2019. I know that we are one of the lucky ones and still have her today thanks to the amazing work that these guys have done and continue to do. This research programme does not receive government funding so fundraising is key! 1:7 women are diagnosed with Breast Cancer in their lifetime. We need to continue to fund these research programmes in order to continue to improve diagnosis, treatment and outcomes for our sisters, mothers and aunts who develop the disease in the future.
